Janet has been a professional dog trainer since 1997. She has trained a Golden Retriever, Boston Terrier, two Miniature Poodles, and a Terrier mix in obedience, rally and agility. She was among the elite group to take the first ever APDT Certification Exam for dog trainers, thus earning her the CPDT (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) title. Janet has worked as a professional dog groomer and veterinary hospital receptionist. She also worked as a groom for the U.S. Equestrian Three-Day Event Team riders and managed a 200-horse stable!
She is currently competing with Miniature Poodle Eliot (Ch. Rembrandt Eliot Ness), OA, OAJ, CGC, TDI, ASA, AS, AJ, O-OJC, OAC, TGN, O-TNN, WVN, in the NADAC, USDAA, and AKC agility venues. Janet is training Miniature Poodle Luca (Rembrandt Key To Glory) in Rally Obedience. Her youngest dog Kira (Shakira Salam) a terrier mix, has started competing in NADAC agility this year, Kira is very entertaining, with lots of potential.
