Michele has grown up with dogs all of her life. Her first dog that she bought for herself at 12 years old was Max, a Jack Russell Terrier. Max developed many behavioral issues, the worst being aggression towards people and dogs. Over the years Michele spent most of her time researching and reading about behavioral issues. With the help of Emma Parson's Click to Calm, she was able to manage his aggression and successfully introduce him to new dogs and people. Unfortunately Max passed away in April of 2012, but he was the most influential dog in her life. He inspired her to get involved with dog training and to learn as much as she can to help others.
Michele has always wanted to 'do it all!' with her dogs and in 2010 got Riley (Tartan's Keeper of the Secret CGCA TDI AX AXJ XF RATO), a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and is currently competing in AKC and USDAA Agility. They are on their way to earning their first MACH. Riley has also earned titles in Barn Hunt and has earned her Canine Good Citizen Advanced and Therapy Dog certifications. She has also tried Dock Diving and Flyball. Michele's adopted hound mix, Fynnegan is currently working on Barn Hunt and scent work. Michele's newest addition, Sirius (Honeyrun's Mischief Managed), another Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is training in all sorts of dog sports.
Michele also has experience in training other animals, such as her cat Ryder and miniature potbelly pig Rue! Rue is trained in doing many varieties of tricks and also agility.
