Kathy joined Surefire Dogs in 2017 after a long career in the healthcare IT industry and an equally long career as a stay-at-home mom. She enjoys meeting and greeting the afternoon and evening clients, as well as interacting with all the fellow dog-loving customers, co-workers, and their dogs.
Kathy grew up in northwest Ohio, went off to college in Kentucky, and then embarked on a career starting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her job moved her to Tampa, FL for a few years, then on to Atlanta, GA where she married and started a family. From there on to Chicago, IL and ultimately to Westborough, where she, her husband, 2 kids, and 2 dogs settled 17 years ago. Kathy volunteered at the Salt Lake City Humane Society, the Atlanta Humane Society, and at the MSPCA where she volunteered with Phinney’s Friends which at the time was a program within the MSPCA that assisted HIV patients with the care of their pets. Her 2 children are now off to college, leaving her 2 rescue dogs to soak up all the affection at home.
