Intro to K9 Nose Work®
This 6 week session uses food hidden in plastic containers, boxes, and under chairs, etc. to develop your dog’s natural hunting abilities. Using your dog’s love of toys, food and exercise, it builds confidence and burns tons of mental and physical energy while you learn to read your dog’s body language to understand when they are “in odor”. This is a great class for dogs who have difficulty working in distracting environments as only one dog at a time will be working. This class works best for dogs that are food or toy motivated.
For all Nose Work classes dogs must be comfortable in your vehicle when not working and both team members must be comfortable working inside or outside in all types of weather.
Prerequisites: Companion Dog Level 1 or Companion Dog Level 2 with Instructor Approval and must be at least 6 months old. Sign up Here
